Haven't posted on Dev Art for a long time, been busy releasing an album with The Molotov, filming music vids, gigging, getting the art website (painted & mixed media) & some various insane & unexpected life stuff. Will be uploading some of the fluro, pagan, mixed media & other works in the next few weeks so keep an eye out. Cheers & take care. SCART

Thoughts are with the families of the 2 Aussies that died as well as those that survived & have to deal with what happened. I hope the media & public give them all the space & support they need & not smother them. Our "need to know" what happened isn't as important as their need to survive this.

The worthless piece of shit that did this was a Criminal & was on bail for "accessory to murder" & 40 counts of "sexual assault" & knew he would be in a jail cell very soon. Regardless of what flag he waved, he was a sexual predator that possibly murdered his wife, had been flagged as a problem by many in the Muslim community & was desperate.
The media & politicians will call him all sorts of things to suit their own purposes but, IMHO, his actions had nothing to do with religious zealotry & everything to do with being a fucking mongrel dog that was backed into a corner & waiting to be put in a cage. His actions were his alone & while different bail or court conditions MAY have changed this outcome, the actions of a sadistic criminal are not the responsibility or fault of those in the Aussie Muslim Community.

Hate only breeds more Hate & the old "Fight Fire With Fire" leaves you only with a burnt out landscape where nothing survives. Hopefully most Australians won't give in to fear, hate or racism or parade it in front of their kids or each other like it's something to be proud of. It's not.

Kudos to all those doing something positive for the country.</b>

"This is not a time for celebration. The death of Margaret Thatcher is nothing more than a salient reminder of how Britain got into the mess that we are in today. Of why ordinary working people are no longer able to earn enough from one job to support a family; of why there is a shortage of decent affordable housing; of why domestic growth is driven by credit, not by real incomes; of why tax-payers are forced to top up wages; of why a spiteful government seeks to penalise the poor for having an extra bedroom; of why Rupert Murdoch became so powerful; of why cynicism and greed became the hallmarks of our society. Raising a glass to the death of an infirm old lady changes none of this. The only real antidote to cynicism is activism. Don't celebrate - organise."

- Billy Bragg

Billy is partially right but when there is one less monster among us, who is responsible for death, misery & the destruction of human rights, there is always time to raise a glass before re-manning the barricades.
Cheers.

Aww, ya gotta love lil kids on DeviantArt who jump on your page, dribble crap & then block you so you can't reply ;) The online equivalent of fingers in their ears babbling "la la la, I can't hear you".
